Alumni Spotlight: Annmarie Cellino, JD/MBA '14

Annmarie Cellino, JD/MBA '14, is a forward on the Buffalo Beauts, one of four charter teams in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL).

Formed in March 2015, the NWHL is the first paid professional women's hockey league in the U.S. The league's season runs October to March, when the teams vie for the Isobel Cup, named for Lady Isobel Gathorne-Hardy, daughter of Lord Stanley.

Cellino played hockey in high school at Nichols, then at the NCAA level at Middlebury College.

As a college player, she received the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Rookie of the Year award for the 2005-06 season. The following year, she led the NESCAC in scoring and was named NESCAC Player of the Year and a First Team All-American. She was an All-NESCAC selection in each of her four collegiate seasons.

Off the ice, Cellino is an associate attorney at Vance Law Firm in Buffalo.
