Anthony Martino '65 was elected a member of Independent Health's board of directors.
Gerard Mazurkiewicz '69 was elected chairman of the board at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
1970s
A. Alan DuBrow, MBA '73, is a senior consulting strategist for companies engaged in marketing IT to the Dept. of Defense. He has worked for Accenture, Booz Allen, Oracle, and others. He has also lectured at M.I.T. on the use of RFID in the military, and holds a patent in that field.
Frank Woodbeck '73 was appointed director of the Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation for the State of Nevada. He also serves as a member of the governor's Cabinet.
James Mucklewee '75 was admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers.
James Sabo '76 was named vice president of the Monday Quarterback Club, a business group that supports the Buffalo Bills.
Lemma W. Senbet, PhD '76, was named executive director of the African American Economic Research Consortium, a premier economic policy research institution serving Africa. He also was recognized as a distinguished scholar, teacher and role model by the Society of Ethiopians Established in Diaspora (SEED).
Burton Speer '76, MS '77, was promoted to partner at Mengel, Metzger Barr & Co. LLP in Rochester, where he focuses on strategic tax planning for small and mid-sized business and all aspects of federal, multistate and international tax compliance.
Michael Glascott '79 was elected to the board of directors of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.

Jeff Eddy '81 was appointed secretary of the United Way of Greater Niagara.
Steven Calzi, MBA '83, joined the Financial Executives International board of directors.
Michael Wojdyla, MBA '85, was appointed management consultant at JC Jones & Associates LLC.
Diane Luksch '86 was promoted to group vice president at M&T Bank.
Peter Augustine '87 was named vice chair of the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation board.
Roberta Bemiller, MBA '89, was appointed leadership development consultant and coach at Career Partners International Buffalo/Niagara.
Joanne Hernandez '88, MBA '89, was named senior private client adviser for the Western New York market at M&T Bank.

Scott Bylewski '95, MBA '95, was presented with the Trailblazer Award by Judge Dennis Jacobs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for his work as a pilot project committee member for the Western District's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
C. Lee Chase, MBA '95, was awarded the CPCU Excellence Award by the Buffalo Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society.
John Curvin '95 achieved MetLife's President's Conference and Court of the Table membership in the Million Dollar Round Table as one of MetLife's top producers. John works with university professionals and K-12 educators from his Williamsville office.
