Richard J. Harrison, MBA '69, was appointed executive vice president at Five Star Bank.

1970s

Ken Dreifus, MBA '71, is principal of Dreifus Realty-Funding, a commercial mortgage broker in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is also deputy chair of the Department of Business and Accounting at Touro College.

James Sterlace '72 has run the Sterlace Insurance Agency for 35 years, serving more than 2,000 clients.

Raymond A. Link '75 was named "CFO of the Year" for Oregon and southern Washington by the Portland Business Journal.

Richard Cohen '77 was named president of RenewData, a leading provider of services for the discovery, archiving and governance of electronically stored information.

Lawrence J. Zielinski, MBA '77, was appointed to the board of directors for Upstate New York Transplant Services. He is president of Buffalo General Hospital.

Edward M. Rahill, MBA '78, was named president of ITC Grid Development.

Candace E. Kelley '79 was named director of wealth management services at Spectrum Wealth Management.

1980s

Rich Floersch, BS/MBA '80, was elected into the National Academy of Human Resources. He is executive vice president of worldwide human resources for McDonald's Corporation.

Daniel C. Judge '80 was named district development manager at Colonial Voluntary Benefits.

Charles C. Swanekamp, MBA '80, was appointed to the board of directors for the University at Buffalo Law School Alumni Association. He is a partner with Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel.

Robert M. Zak, BS/MBA '80, was appointed chair of the board of directors for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

Deborah A. Goldman, MBA '82, was elected board president for the Friends of the Night People. She is director of planning and evaluation for the Erie County Department of Mental Health.

Michael LaMancuso '82 was named director of the Orchard Park, N.Y., office of The Vineyard Group, a business consulting firm.

Christine A. Bova '83 was named to the administrative services department at Lumsden & McCormick.

Daniel J. Krajewski, MBA '83, was appointed vice president, vendor sales, at Relational Technology Solutions.

June W. Hoeflich '84 was appointed to the board of directors for HealthNow New York, the parent company of BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and BlueShield of Northeastern New York.

Daniel P. Joyce, JD/MBA '84, was named to the Woodward White list of Best Lawyers in America. He is a partner with Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel.

Craig P. Scarupa '87 was promoted to chief financial officer and director of operations for Vanner Insurance Agency.

Lloyd E. Arakelian '89 was named director in the health care consulting practice of Freed Maxick & Battaglia CPAs.

1990s

Michael Schaffstall '90 was promoted to principal at Chiampou Travis Besaw and Kershner.

Michael Weiner '72, MBA '90, was appointed president and CEO of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

Pamela L. Fekete '91 was appointed chief financial officer and vice president of operations at the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation.

Cheryl A. Jankowski '91 was promoted to senior manager at Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner.

Nancy A. Hammond '92 was promoted to vice president, finance, and chief financial officer for WNED.

Steven J. Harvey '93 was named executive director of CampusBuffalo, a new multi-campus initiative to strengthen higher education as a thriving industry in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

Richard J. McCarthy '91, MBA '93, was named to the board of directors for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County. He is vice president for retail product and strategy at M&T Bank.

Dave Napierala '93 was promoted to vice president of client services for Gelia, Western New York's largest marketing communications agency.

Scott A. Bylewski, BS/MBA '95, received Business First's "40 Under Forty" award, which recognizes outstanding business and community leaders in Western New York under the age of 40. He is supervisor for the town of Clarence.

Jacqueline Ghosen, MBA '94, is president of the Buffalo-Niagara Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is assistant dean and director of communications at the UB School of Management.

Jennifer D. Campbell '93, MBA '95, was named comptroller at Buffalo MRI.

Michael Dehn, MBA '95, received Business First's "40 Under Forty" award, which recognizes outstanding business and community leaders in Western New York under the age of 40. He is president of Trek, a designer and manufacturer of electrical instruments.

Erik M. Glaser '95 is the managing partner of GlaserDuncan, CPAs.

Joseph V. Saffire, MBA '95, received Business First's "40 Under Forty" award, which recognizes outstanding business and community leaders in Western New York under the age of 40. He is executive vice president and regional president of commercial banking for HSBC Bank USA.

Scott Socha, MBA '95, was named vice president of new business development for Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts.

Melanie L. Henderson, MBA '96, was named director of operations for Infinite Campus, a K-12 student management system, at Custom Computer Specialists in Long Island.

Kelly E. Marks '94, MBA '97, was appointed associate at Phillips Lytle in the area of federal and state income tax issues.

Lon C. Gondek, JD/MBA '98, was promoted to vice president at Citizens Bank.

Saroj Pithakpong, MBA '98, was promoted to manager of telecommunications and network security at AAA of Western and Central New York.

Joan Bukowski, MBA '99, was named the first woman board president in the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society's 147-year history. She is an assistant professor of business management at Erie Community College.

Michael Graubner, MBA '99, received a doctorate in business from the European Business School and is the engagement manager for McKinsey & Co. in Berlin.

2000s

Kathleen Campisano, EMBA '00, is vice president of toys and games for Barnes & Noble.

Timothy R. Mattulke, MBA '00, was appointed business development manager at Wendel Companies.

Ryan Osborne '98, MBA '00, is a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting.

Sherry L. Dellebovi '83, CEL '01, was installed as a director representing the Buffalo chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a partner with Lumsden & McCormick.

Christopher Hart-Nova, MBA '02, and his company, EscapeWire Solutions, were chosen as finalists for the Beta Award, honoring Western New York's information technology sector, by InfoTech Niagara.

Wisam A. Qureshi, MBA '02, was appointed director of produce and floral marketing at Tops Friendly Markets.

Jill M. Schaefer '02, MBA '02, was appointed treasurer of Business and Professional Women of Buffalo/Amherst.

Adam R. Wallen, EMBA '02, was appointed CEO and president of Bio2 Technologies, a medical device company based in Boston, Mass.

Mikhail Chapnik, MBA '03, was promoted to brand manager for Kraft Foods, managing the Wheat Thins and Triscuit brands.

Pascal E. Cohen, MBA '03, was awarded the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives. He is the air terminal superintendant for Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Heather A. Lippard '03 was named search consultant at StraussGroup.

John M. Canty '04 is an account executive for Roosevelt & Cross, managing municipal bond investments.

Christopher J. Kuroski '04 was named audit manager for Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro.

Larry Skerker, CEL '99, EMBA '04, was named the Scouter Citizen of the Year by the Boys Scouts of America, Greater Niagara Frontier Council. He is president and CEO of Skerker and Associates.

Connie R. Vari, EMBA '04, was named to the Daemen College board of trustees. She is executive vice president and chief operating officer for Kaleida Health.

Mark Collard, EMBA '05, received Business First's "40 Under Forty" award, which recognizes outstanding business and community leaders in Western New York under the age of 40. He is managing principal for Odyssey Advisors.

James K. Warrington '05 was named controller at Veraview, a video conferencing and distance learning company.

Storch

Adam Storch '02 has been named managing executive for the Securities Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement. In this role, he will serve as the enforcement division's first-ever chief operating officer and is charged with making the division more efficient. Prior to joining the SEC, Storch was a vice president in the business intelligence group at Goldman Sachs, reviewing transactions for regulatory, financial and reputational risks. He previously served as a senior consultant focusing on enterprise risk services for Deloitte & Touche, and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner. In 2007, Storch was named the Frank L. Ciminelli Family Career Resource Center's Alumnus of the Year, in recognition of his volunteer efforts assisting School of Management students.
